Born on April 2, 1952, in Salkım village, Nizip district of Gaziantep, Ünal Akdoğan is a prominent figure who has served the tradesmen and driver community for many years. Throughout his professional life, he has acted with an understanding of unity, solidarity, and protecting the rights of tradesmen.

Elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Drivers' Chamber in 2005, Ünal Akdoğan has worked to solve the problems of the driver community and to develop the sector. He also contributed to the economic strengthening of tradesmen by establishing the Gazikent Tradesmen's Guarantee Cooperative.

In 2018, Akdoğan was elected as the Vice President of the Gaziantep Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chambers Union (GESOB) and also served as the Vice President of the Turkish Drivers' Federation (TŞOF) in Ankara. He has attracted attention with his experience, knowledge, and strong representation ability within the tradesmen community.

Ünal Akdoğan, elected as the President of the Gaziantep Chamber of Craftsmen and Artisans (GESOB) in 2026, continues his efforts to promote unity and solidarity among craftsmen and artisans during his term.

Ünal Akdoğan is married and has five children.
