The 94th anniversary celebrations of the liberation from enemy occupation of Gaziantep began on December 25th. ,
During the celebrations, with the cooperations of the Metropolitan Municipality and the Turkish Athletics Federation, ‘The Salvation Run’ and ‘The Public March’ organized.
During the celebrations, with the cooperations of the Metropolitan Municipality and the Turkish Athletics Federation, ‘The Salvation Run’ and ‘The Public March’ organized. Governer Ali Yerlikaya, Gaziantep MPs Nejat Koçer, Ahmet Uzer, Mehmet Erdoğan, Garrison Commander Brigadier General Murat Soysal, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin, Turkish President of Turkish Athletics Federation Fatih Çintimar and 24941 athletes and citizens from the different cities participated to The Salvation Run.
The Salvation Run at the track 10.000 meters was held in 7 different categories. The Governer, Gaziantep MPs, Garrison Commander, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and Protocol Members also participated to The Public March that was 5.000 meters length.
The Governer Ali Yerlikaya said about the organization of the ‘25 December The Salvation Run and The Public March that; ‘We all thankful to our ancestors who left us the legacy homeland. We will remember and never forget our martyrs and veterans. Today there are athletes here to run from every different parts of our country to join our organization. We also thankful to the Turkish Athletics Federation and Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality for this organization. I celebrate all the athletes and citizens who joined to The Salvation Run.’
Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin said about the organization of the ‘25 December The Salvation Run and The Public March that; ‘94 years ago, our ancestors left us a great legacy. Hail to our ancestors, martyrs and veterans. We will always remember and never forget the 94 years ago.
The power we receive from our ancestors, we we are going to the 100th year of the Republic. We are going to be the 10 largest economy in the World.’
At the end of the organization; the winners medals, trophies and a certificate of participation had been given by the Governer Ali Yerlikaya and by the Protocol Members.
